Visualization of American College Choosing

WHY?
This is about education and future.
A good college choosing has great impact on a young man's career success, friend zone, living standard and entire life.
But when it comes to choosing, there is too much information to take into consideration, including location, reputation, cost, acceptance possibility and more. This visualization is designed to help them.
This is of public interest to more than 1 million people, including current students, potential students, and parents around the world.

HOW?
I am going to use d3.js library mainly for this visualization job. For data sources, I will use java to crawl data from a given website.

WHAT?
Based on users’ inputs, I will visualize some good college choices for users. Not only will I put college badges on a map, I will also use animations to show how strong those suggestions are. When your mouse hover over a badge, animations will show some more info about that college, including your chances of acceptance, tuition, and arrows pointing to schools where applicants also apply to.
